Our Vision

The driving force of Equip Cambodia’s work is the conviction that true and lasting life transformation is only possible in a living and vital relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Accordingly, all EC trainees receive supervised guidance in the areas of Spiritual Direction, including guided Bible study, personal mentoring in discipleship, as well as serving in a local Cambodian church.

While spiritual development is the cornerstone of life transformation, the acquisition of practical job skills is also necessary. Based on a trainee’s interests, EC provides vocational training in skills related to the restaurant / hotel industry. Specific training is provided in the areas of food and beverage, housekeeping, gardening/landscaping, facilities maintenance, English language, basic finance & bookkeeping and basic computer use. 

Personal life-skills training is also provided in time management and a variety of practical life skills such as healthy relationship building, personal money management, making healthy choices and personal hygiene and grooming. At the completion of the training module Equip Cambodia assists our graduates in obtaining employment in one of Siem Reap’s fine hotels and restaurants or in other aspects of the service industry. Assistance in job placement is a core value of our program.
